Each year many students go abroad to different parts of the world over spring break, spending their week off engaged in social service, spanish learning and adventure experiences.
About our experience
With more than 15 years leading and arranging Alternative Spring Break in Ecuador as well as Winter breaks. Certainly, we can assure your short available time abroad will be used in the best way. Every single detail will be strictly well planned in other words you will have a full time itinerary with interesting activities you will never forget.
What about University and College policies.
We manage different school trips during March and December . Each institution policy requires safety but unforgetable experiences this means a random of surprises coming up.
What if we have a very specific itinerary request?
Very contrasting itineraries to enforce the educational, adventure and cultural experience but always keeping the main objective which is offering a fruitful trip by making an unforgettable time abroad.
Is there a minimun required time for an Alternative Spring Break Ecuador?
We Suggest at least 1 week itinerary. Arriving on saturday and leaving sunday but this doesnt mean there is no flexibility to make your Alternative spring break Ecuador perfect!.
This is a very flexible alternatrive spring & winter break itinerary but main objectives that determine the activities or visits depends on your requirements, needs and objective.
[Day 1]: Arriving to Mariscal Sucre International Aiport – host families distribution or hotel rooms distribution.
[Day 2]: Mitad del Mundo Day Tour with Organic lunch Experience in local town nearby the equator line. / Cooking class afternoon or night
[Day 3]: Teleferico & Pichincha volcano day tour / lunch back at home if (homestay) or restaurant lunch / salsa class at 5pm.
[Day 4]: Tsachilas Tribe Experience – Full day tour with music, local food, activities with the community and if climate conditions are ok (river activity)
[Day 5]: Social Service activity at orphanage or kindergarden or elderly refuge / soccer game al local park or cocoa & chocolate making experience at local family house.
[Day 6]: Cotopaxi Volcano or Quilotoa loop full day activity with lunch, excurssion, activities and adventure.
[Day 7]: Papallacta hot-springs relaxing day activity.
[Day 8]: departure
Activities and destinations could change depending on your school requirements as well as safety permissions. We can add other extra activities as needed.

I led a group of 12 university students for an alternative spring break trip and Jorge was our guide/organizer. What impressed me the most was that every single detail was well thought out and ready for us before we left. We had absolutely nothing to worry about, other than booking our flights, which made for such an incredibly easy and enriching experience. From the moment he picked us up from the airport, to all of our excursions, our well thought out service opportunities, and our cultural enrichment. Our accommodations were very nice and centrally located, which made it easy for us to walk around in our free time. Every experience we had, from seeing the equator, to a cooking class, to salsa lessons, and experiencing the Tsachilas Tribe, made for incredible memories and even more interesting conversation. I was so impressed with Jorge and his team, and now am so lucky to consider Jorge a lifelong friend and colleague!
