Our work and perspective at Footprint-Journeys with our Ecuador Tribe Experience.
Our Ecuador Tsachilas tribe experience is one of our tours that will last in your mind forever but always keeping our social and environment responsability in the top.
Promoting activism and development with each visit is our main goal. We want to a network between the ouside-world and these local communities in order to promote social, adventure and cultural experiences.
What about tourims at these communities:
It takes time and hard work to make these local people trust on tourism and make them realize that If they keep they tradittions alive they can enrich their culture and small villages with the flow of visitors.
We encourage these families to never give up on teaching their tradittions, language, food, music and clothing style so that new generations keep the culture alive despite the fact of being so close to big dangerous and destructive populations like Santo Domingo.
About our experience leading visitors to these communities.
Our experience takes place at one of the of 8 Tsachilas tribe communities. The time we will share with them will be so special since they are a very proud culture and you can feel the natural culture atmosphere while visiting one of these villages. You can expect being part of the music, food, language, and other tradittions during your stay.
Is this Ecuador Tribe Experience recommended for all ages?
Yes! Actually we reccomend this experience for families with children and teenagers since the educational enrichment they can get is amazing. We reccomend this Ecuador Tribe Experience with the Tsachilas Group for the unique opportunity.
How long doest it take from Quito?
Our full day your experience starts at 7am. It takes like 2 hours and half to get there but during the route from Quito to the Tribe Village we will make a couple of stops to explore a waterfall, one popular small town where local sweets making is very tranditional and finally the Village.
«A group needs only two things to be a tribe: A shared interest and a way to communicate».

One of the best and most insightful experiences I have had. The tribe was welcoming of all and allowed us to see a small piece of their lives, traditions, and cultures. Every one wad beyond friendly. The food, music, and experiences here were ones i will remember for a lifetime. Take time to connect with other cultures and immerse yourself fully because you will carry what you learn with you for a lifetime.
I Participated in this experience with my classmates during our study abroad trip and while initially, I wasn’t sure what to expect, this ended up being one of my favorite parts of my entire trip. The tribe is very friendly and walked us through various practices such as a smoke ritual, hair dying, traditional dance, and even prepared us lunch. This experience opened my eyes to a different culture and lifestyle and was very rewarding.
